Alice in Wonderland is a 2010 fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton, and written by Linda Woolverton. It is an extension of Lewis Carroll’s novels Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. The film is a mixture of live action and animation.

Alice is nineteen years old and accidentally returns to Wonderland, a place she visited thirteen years before. She is told that she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwocky, a dragon controlled by the Red Queen who terrorizes Wonderland’s inhabitants. Burton said the original Wonderland story was always about a girl going from one strange site to another and he never felt a connection emotionally, so he wanted to make it feel more like a story than themes of events. He does not see this as a sequel to previous films.

It premiered in London at the Odeon Leicester Square on February 25, 2010, and was released in Australia on March 4, 2010, and the United States and the United Kingdom on March 5, 2010, through IMAX 3D and Disney Digital 3D, as well as in traditional theaters. It has become the highest grossing film of 2010 and the 18th highest grossing film of all time.

She was nine years old when Alice visited Wonderland for first time. Now is nineteen years old and is about to get married with a Lord who doesn’t like. Suddenly, the white rabbit appears and leads her to Wonderland. Evil Red Queen governs there and owns Jabberwocky dragon which only Alicia can slay it. Although Alicia doesn’t remember anything about the last time she was there Alice goes remembering old characters, such as white rabbit, Caterpillar, Chesire cat… during the film. She will know new characters, the ones who are going to help her to set peace in Wonderland.
